Vacation & Sick Time

REI offers all benefits-eligible employees paid vacation and sick time, but the amount of time you receive depends on your work schedule, your role within the co-op and your location.

  • If you are a part-time hourly benefits-eligible employee, you earn vacation and sick time based on the hours you work during each pay period. To be eligible, you must work 20 hours per week on average over a 12-month evaluation period.
  • If you are a part-time hourly employee who is not eligible for REI benefits, you earn sick time based on the hours your work during each pay period.
  • If you are a full-time hourly or salaried employee, you earn vacation and sick time from your start date. You earn a flat rate for each paycheck.
