Mobile Work Arrangements

Mobile working—which means working from an alternative worksite, such as your home, on a regular basis—helps REI keep its competitive edge while giving you more flexibility. Mobile work arrangements range in frequency and form (full day or partial day). If you’re interested in a mobile work arrangement, check out REI’s mobile work policy and guidelines.

REI Educational Achievement Challenge (REACH)

Thinking about working toward the completion of a college degree? Let REI help with our tuition reimbursement program, REACH. This program provides you with financial support—up to $1,500 for undergraduate degrees and certificate programs and $3,000 for graduate education per year—to complete approved higher educational degrees that relate to our business and your current or future role at REI.

To review eligibility guidelines, read frequently asked questions and/or submit an application, visit the REACH tuition reimbursement program page on REIweb or contact the Employee Service Center at 1-800-999-4734 or at hrhr@rei.com.

Relocation Assistance

To encourage candidates and employees to relocate as part of their career development, we offer relocation assistance. The program is designed to provide you and your family the resources and benefits needed to make your transition as smooth as possible. Benefits received vary based on the division and level of position that you are moving into. To learn more, go to REIweb > Tools > Human Resources > Jobs.

Employee Referral Bonus

Your referrals help make REI a better workplace for all of us—that’s why we offer referral rewards! To learn more, go to REIweb > Tools > Human Resources > Jobs.

Commuter Benefit

As committed stewards of the environment, we want to reduce our carbon footprint by decreasing the number of cars on the road and in parking lots. That’s why we offer a 100% pre-tax subsidy on public transit expenses, including bus, train, vanpool and ferry, up to the IRS limit ($325) through payroll deduction. We also offer pre-tax parking for employees who work at locations with limited commuting options. Parking elections are not subsidized by REI.
